City2Surf fundraising
27 October 2011
We are thrilled to announce over $95,000 was raised during The Sun-Herald City2Surf for the Westpac Life Saver.
Westpac raised over $75,000 through staff fundraising, a Bondi branch BBQ, selling red and yellow shoe laces in branches and as part of race registration and breaking the Guinness Book Of World Records stretch attempt with over 21,000 people in the yellow start group participating. It was quite a sight to see so many people doing each stretch. You can see more in our Gallery.
Together our City2Surf Golden Charity Ambassadors raised nearly $20,000 for the Westpac Life Saver. Our sincere thanks to Henry Plumptre, Roger Moresi, Arjun Nair, Ben Werrett, Dan Tan, Dan Parker, Ashley Lambert, Sun Fung, Ben Chapman, Michael McSweeney, Mudra Nair and Chris Rehn. We appreciate your commitment to the Service and dedication to the 14km run.
