Vessel on fire, Gerroa

Shortly after 0830 hours, Sydney's Westpac Life Saver helicopter was tasked to 3 nautical miles east of Gerroa following reports that a boat was on fire in the area.   Lifesaver 1 attended and it was confirmed that the "fire" was a trawler blowing large amounts of exhaust smoke.   After clearing the task, the helicopter performed a patrol of the Royal National Park and southern beaches as part of its flight back to the Cape Banks base.
