Swimmer in trouble, Broulee

South Coast's Westpac Life Saver was called to North Broulee Beach to assist local lifeguards and ambulance officers after calls to Triple 0 suggested that a girl was in toruble there.   Upon arriving at the scene, the Lifesaver 3 crew found ambulance officers and surf lifesavers treating four people on the beach.

The Rescue Crew Officer on board the helicopter was asked to assist in stabilizing the patients and the Westpac Life Saver landed on the beach nearby.

Rescue Crew Officer Gabby Smith assisted the two Canberra girls who were suffering from exhaustion and had inhaled some water.   They were administered oxygen and stabilised before being released.

Ambulance Officers and surf lifesavers stabilised the 20 year old lady and her carer.  The younger female was in a serious but stable condition after swallowing large amounts of water.   She has been taken to Moruya Base Hospital for further treatment.
