Hovercraft accident, Lugarno

Shortly before 1545 hours, the Westpac Life Saver as called to the vicinity of Alfords Point Bridge at Lugarno after a hovercraft travelling on the Georges River collided with the bridge there.   Whilst heading to the scene, police advised that the services of Lifesaver 1 were no longer required and the helicopter returned to its base.
