About the Westpac Life Saver

The Southern Region SLSA Helicopter Rescue Service Ltd (trading as the Westpac Life Saver Helicopter Rescue Service) is an independent subsidiary of and is wholly owned by Surf Life Saving Australia. Along with other SLSA helicopter operations we form a nation-wide aviation emergency rescue service.

We operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from our Sydney base at La Perouse and 7 days a week during daylight hours from December at Moruya Airport on the NSW south coast. Funding is provided through the Westpac Banking Corporation sponsorship, other fundraising initiatives and agreements for service provision with our emergency rescue partners.
